F1 1991 Championship

Think back.

Think back 31 years.

Remember many exciting Sundays.
Engines that just sounded brutal.
Sparks that flew all over the tarmac.
Epic duels between drivers who fought for every inch.

Think back to the glory times of Senna, Berger, Alesi, Schumacher, Mansell, Patrese, Piquet and many more famous drivers.

Remember the cars, the iconic tracks.

It´s nice to remember it 31 years later.

But now it's time to experience it again!


After having raced many different Formula 1 seasons in THR, it's now time to battle it out with the 1991 season's cars. 31 years ago the above mentioned drivers took place in the cars. Now it is our turn.

Registration

You have to register for each event (Saturday and Sunday) of the championship.
Normally the registration for the next race weekend opens the Monday before.

To be able to join the Qualifying and the race sessions, you have to register via this link:

You must be on server THR | QUALI + RACE | while registering.


If so, then you can join the Qualifying with your car and skin immediately after registering.
In some cases it is necessary to wait for the next server restart, which occurs every 2 hours.
Only in rare cases you get the message "No slots available", then the Admins have to stop and restart the server.

New community members need to have three ACSR races in the records to get permission to start in the Main Event Races on Sundays. To achieve this, they can participate in the wkdy races, the practice races on Saturday and the THR Academy events.

Cars

We race the 1991 F1 cars made by ASR in an improved version made by Pete Bondurant.
The improvement addresses the expansion of the ground collider.

We tested the cars and they can be divided into four groups in terms of performance.
We recommend you to test the cars and, as always, choose the one that suits you best.

The cars are different, but the drivers are hired by a team for a season.
To not offer the chance to chose the best car for each track, It is NOT allowed to change the cars during the championship.

This only applies to "Inexperienced Drivers":
If you feel really uncomfortable with your car, then ONE car change during the championship is allowed.

Tracks with less then 30 pitboxes will receive an update before the start of the race week.

Special Settings

In 1991, they had pitstops in Formula 1 to change tyres.
In our THR championship, it's up to you, which tyres you choose, how many pit stops you want to make or whether you finish with only 1 set of tyres.

  • Fuel Rate: 100%
  • Damage Multiplier: 75%
  • no pitspeed limiter
  • Required Minimum CSP Version is 0.177

Race Week Schedule

Testing

Use the following server to test the different cars during the week.
You can choose any available car and get a random skin after joining.

Qualifying

You can race qualifying laps from Monday to Sunday at any time.
(I will close the Qualifying when I have time on Sunday. So the end of Qualifying may vary on this day.
Please take this in account and don't race your laps just before the end.)

Only the best laps per driver from the following server will be used to create the starting grid.

Races

Saturday - Training Races

Will be hosted on Server:
THR |4| WKDY RACES | THRacing | discord.me/THRacing

The starting grid for the practice races will be based on the qualifying which takes place just before these races.

  • Qualifying Session: 30 minutes
  • Training Race 1: 30 minutes
  • Training Race 2: 30 minutes (first 10 positions start in reversed order)

You can stay on the server between the sessions.

Sunday - Main Races

Will be hosted on Server:
THR | QUALI + RACE | THRacing | discord.me/THRacing

Official race based on the qualifying laptimes driven during the week.

  • Practice Session: 30 minutes
  • Main Race: 60 minutes

You can stay on the server between the sessions.

Drivers Championship

To take in account that not every racer is able to race on every weekend, the worst result will be deleted.
So only 7 out of 8 weekends count for the championship.
