OSRW is an App which needs to be installed on every Client PC.
The app offers the possibility to have Rolling Starts, a Virtual Safety car, Speed Limit in the Pits and a penalty system.

This article from our Wiki explains how to install and use OSRW Race Admin:
https://thracing.de/community/tutorials/osrw-race-admin/#post-33

Important information for the race.
Rolling Start:
When the normal lights go out, we start with a formation lap.
All cars stay in starting formation with a speed not faster than 150 km/h.

At the end of the first lap your Admim starts a rolling start countdown.
The OSRW GUI show the countdown.

The drivers are not allowed to drive faster than 150 km/h.
If you do, you receive a penalty.

At the end of the countdown, the entire field goes full throttle and starts the race.

Virtual Safety Car:
During the race, situations may arise in which a virtual safety car is deployed.
In this situations the OSRW GUI also shows a countdown.

At the end of the countdown the drivers have to be slower than 150 km/h.

If you are faster, than the GUI shows speed penalty points.

Pitlane Speed Limit:
In the pitlane you have to be slower than 80 km/h. If you are faster, you receive a penalty.

Penalties:
Based on your speeding you can receive different penalties.

  • Drive Through
  • Stop 20 seconds and Go
  • Investigation after the race

They have to be cleared within the next the laps.

If you don't clear a penalty or receive it in the last lap, the penalty time will be added by the admin after the race.

To give you an idea, how the OSRW system works, we will introduce the system at 1940 UTC.
After that we start the normal procedure!

This week’s weekday-race will be the Jordan 191 at Spa 88.
This week’s suggestion was made by Xoran a long time ago but it fits perfectly now.

The 25th August 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of Michael Schumacher’s F1 debut.
The Story around his F1 debut is a special one. Jordan was searching for a driver quickly since their original driver, Bertrand-Gachot, was sitting in jail after attacking a London taxi driver.
They choose Michael as he was a Mercedes junior driver and showed promising results.
Schumacher qualified on P7, in front of his experienced teammate.
What made this more special is that this was the first time he drove at Spa. But his race was short. His Jordan had a clutch failure and he retired the car in the first lap.

But that didn’t matter as other teams were already interested in the young German driver.
Thanks to a loophole in his contract, he was able to leave Jordan and switched to Benetton for the next race.
After this his career just got started.

Come join us, next week, for a fun race around Spa.

THR Race Control has finalized the review of the last championship race in Suzuka.
The given penalties had no impact on the former published unofficial results.

So it´s time to publish the final standings of our F1 Championship:

After a one-week delay, the next weekday-race is finally here.

The famous Maserati 250F on an old, almost forgotten beauty of a track called Bremgarten. Made by the legendary map-maker Fat-Alfie, this 7km long track is a dangerous high speed, power circuit were you drive through fast & tricky corners while blasting through the forest and past a quarry mine.

Bremgarten was part of the F1 Championship up until 1954. In 1955 the Swiss government banned motor racing, due to the Le Mans disaster, and that led to cancelling the event for the 1955 season. Sadly, Bremgarten was abandoned after that and is lost to history now.

The Maserati 250F was race car that was built between 1954-1958 and used until 1960. The 250F won it’s debut race at the hands of Fangio. Fangio won his 5th Championship on a 250F and that legendary drive at the German Grand Prix in 1957.

While testing, this combination turned out to be pretty awesome and will 100% lend itself to some intense battles. The 250F was surprisingly controllable under power and a whole lot of fun to blast around the beautiful Bremgarten! If your looking for a fast, fun and friendly race then join us!

Please use the emojis in the #thr-wkdy-events channel to show if you want to participate in this race.

The last two championships have been completed, and looking at our bank balance, we have decided that we can again award prizes to our community.

In the AC GTL championship Emil Andersson won the title.
Since it is his first THR championship, he will receive a product from our THR shop.
https://shop.thracing.de/

I have already informed him and hope that he will post a photo when he has received the prize.

The F1 championship was dominated and won by Maddie Shepherd. Because Maddie has already received a prize for her last championship title, I agreed with her that the prize would be awarded by lottery.

Participants of the lottery are all drivers who have driven at least 5 races in the F1 championship.
In this case these are:

  • margar17
  • Jack Q
  • Rolf Biber
  • EE
  • Natan Veksler
  • Flashor
  • Xoran

The wheel of fortune spun on Sunday after our DTM race and was broadcasted via Discord.

And the winner is Jack Q!

I have talked to him and his prize is also on it´s way to him.

Many thanks to each participant in the championships.

And also many thanks to every Paypal-Donater and Patreon who makes this possible!

In the last months a couple of drivers suggested to set up a Patreon page for THR.

THR offers a permanent service and regular events, which creates ongoing costs:

  • the server cost per month
  • the webspace cost per month
  • the hardware for the streaming machine
  • lottery prices for championship participants
  • the many hours pitman puts into running THR
  • etc.

Patreon offers the possibility of a monthly donation.
If any of you would like to support THR on a regular basis, you can do so via Patreon.

In addition to the feeling of supporting our THR community, Patreons will receive some small benefits

  • a special logo which can be used on their custom skins
  • the Patreon role in Discord and access to the Patreon channel

I'm thinking about other benefits. If you have good ideas, feel free to contact me!

I have also added the link to the Patreon Page to our Paypal-Donation Page on the Website.
