Last week I was going to post the following video.
But then I did not have the guts to do it.
Now it's a little too late, but I present it to you, to see if it's a good idea to create Youtube videos every now and then…

GPL at Mexico 1967 Race Weekend 11/11 – The GPL Champion is Mac
Yesterday we held the final Race Weekend of our GPL Throwback Championship.
The championship ran alternately lasts from September 2020 until now and we raced on the same 11 different iconic tracks:
- Kyalami 1967
- Monaco 1966
- Zandvoort 1967
- Spa 1966
- Rouen 60s
- Silverstone 1967
- Nürburgring 1967
- Mosport
- Monza 1966
- Watkins Glen 1967
- Mexico 1967
57 different drivers took part in the championship.
We had an average of 19 cars on the track and the biggest starting grid was in Monza with 28 vehicles.
19 different drivers managed to finish on the podium and 6 drivers were able to claim a victory.
We streamed every race at Youtube and we have all experienced a lot of great motorsport.
Racing the GPL Mod regularly against very well known drivers was the motivating force behind the foundation of THR.
That's why I'm very happy about the popularity of the GPL Championship.
I want to thank every participant.
It was a pleasure to have you all on track !!!
But now it's time to celebrate the winners:
Class A

Nat Stevenson |
After the race, we spun the wheel of fortune to determine the winner of the THR championship prize.
And again the wheel of fortune stopped at the Champions field.
Mac therefore receives a product from our THR Shop in the next days.
What´s up next?
In two days we will finish our GPL championship.
At the same time, the TCL championship has ended.
You might be wondering what happens next in THR.
We have a lot of things planned behind the scenes and I would like to present them to you now.
In the next four weeks we will have some great racing and we want to use these weeks to test different things:
1. we want to test a new race format
Our previous race format (Qualifying 20 minutes, First Race 20 minutes, Second Race 20 Minutes with reversed grid) suited our community very well for a long time.
But due to the larger starting grids, the start into race 2 often becomes a problem.
That is why we have decided to get rid of the Reversed Grid races.
At the same time, the long races in Monza and Daytona have shown us that there is also a great fascination in driving longer races.
The drivers don't have to take so much risk and can study the opponents better and look for different lines.
Taking both reasons together, we want to try the following format:
Saturday 21 UTC: practice race - duration 1 hour
Sunday 21 UTC: championship race - duration 1 hour
In order not to make the race evenings too long at the weekend, the qualifying sessions will no longer take place directly before the races.
Instead, there will be continuous qualifying sessions on weekdays. Whenever you have time, you can run times that will be used as qualifying times for the weekend races.
That means, that we will have the same starting grid on Saturdays and Sundays.
2. we want to test which mods you like
2021-03-14 21 UTC
ACL GTL (all cars) at Thomson Road
1 hour race with 150% fuel usage
(Simulation time on the server will start at 16:00 and last until 22:00 o´clock.)
2021-03-21 21 UTC
DRM at Thomson Road (all cars)
1 hour race with 150% fuel usage
(Simulation time on the server will start at 16:00 and last until 22:00 o´clock.)
2021-03-28 21 UTC
GPLs at Horsma (only Matra-Ford MS7)
1 hour race with 100% fuel usage
(Simulation time on the server will start at 14:00 o´clock.)
2021-04-04 21 UTC
Lada at Grobnik (Lada 2101 + Lada 2105)
1 hour race with 100% fuel usage
(Simulation time on the server will start at 14:00 o´clock.)
3. we want to test whether ServerManager can implement these ideas
We have not yet been able to test some of the things described above with the ServerManager.
Therefore, the four weeks will help us to find out what we can configure in the future.
4. more Racing
Greg and franglais plan to offer races on weekdays.
After a first week of testing, they would like to give you (the members) the opportunity to suggest cars and tracks in a given Discord channel.
The best combination will then be determined via a member poll and driven on the following Wednesday…
TCL at Mexico 1967 Race Weekend 11/11 – We have found our Champions

Championship Prizes
Hey THR.
We're about to complete our two long championships with the TCL and GPL races at Mexico 1967 in the next two weeks.
THR would like to offer one prize per championship.
And the prizes will be products from our shop.
https://shop.thracing.de/
I was thinking that it's good for the community if many people have the chance to win a prize.
Therefore, I will spin a wheel of fortune after our Sunday´s races at Mexico.
The categories will be:
- Championship Winner
- best custom skin (User vote)
- Racer with most podiums beside the Championship Winner
- most starts in Practice and Championship races
- fairest driver (User vote)
- each participant with at least 6 Championship races
I am not sure if we can deliver to all the countries of the possible winners.
But we'll see.
So stay tuned to Voice Chat (Discord) after the races tomorrow and next week...
Let’s do the final races
On the next two weekends we will have the last races in each of the current championships.
We have already completed 10 race weekends in both the "Touring Car Legends" and "Grand Prix Legends" championships.
The last race weekend will be in Mexico 67 and as you can see from the following intermediate results, there are still some fights for positions.
(Please take in account, that the incidents from from the following races are not decided yet.
- TCL - Watkins Glen
- GPL - Monza Junior

GPL at 60s Watkins Glen Race Weekend 10/11
Live stream from race ONE and TWO:
The track in Watkins Glen, which was recreated historically correct by Sergio Loro, is relatively narrow and the high curbs increase the level of difficulty for a race with the GPL cars.
But on Sunday, two exciting races developed.
And Nat Stevenson had a nearly perfect race weekend.
After qualifying P2, he quickly moved to the front of the field and dominated the pace.
Thanks again Sergio for bringing the track back to (AC) life.

TCL at Watkins Glen Race Weekend 10/11
Yesterday we had the wonderful opportunity to drive on Sergio Loro's new track "Watkins Glen".
The drivers agreed that the races were really fun and that Sergio has once again built a brilliant track.
Shortly to the Livestream:
For the first time we show a live TrackMap with the individual positions of the drivers, which provides a very good overview of the race action.
We have also engaged Mark (from Windows) as our new commentator.
Unfortunately the camera settings of the track, which is still under development, are not perfect yet. But this will be fixed for the GPL races next week.

Trak Racer
I have added a new Partner to our Affiliate program.
Trak Racer products (Rigs, Wheel Stands, Racing Seats and more) are made from high quality material and durable construction that gives Trak Racer the confidence to offer lengthy warranties on Trak Racer products.
If you plan to buy a rig and find something on their site, it would be nice if you can click on the Trak Racer logo on our website.
This will give THR a small referral commission.
Thanks in advance!
Finally, we can race again at 60s Watkins Glen.
[THR] is privileged to have @SergioLoro as a member.
A few months ago I told him that we wanted to run a GPL Throwback Championship.
I told him that among other things we will drive his two tracks Zandvoort and Rouen and that the only track we are missing is Watkins Glen.
The track was already available for AC, but unfortunately hardly drivable because it was very bumpy.
I asked Sergio if he could fix the surface. He looked at the track and said it was too much work.
Before I could be sad about it, he quickly added that he would like to build the track completely himself.
And in line with our racing calendar, the track is now ready for us to race on.
Watkins Glen was in the original Grand Prix Legends back in the days.
I loved the track back then and have always missed it in AC.
So I was really happy when I did some laps on it in the last days.
Watkins Glen is finally back and in perfect Sergio Loro quality.
Phenomenal! Thank you very much @SergioLoro
P.S.: I have set up our Servers THR | 1 | and THR | 2 | with the TCL and GPL cars at Watkins Glen.
Also the registration for both championship raceweekends is open for you:
