As announced last night, we want to start a new series in THR today.
New members are joining THR constantly, cause they love vintage content as much as we do. But some of them don't feel ready to compete directly in our championships.
That's why THR is now offering a THR Academy Series that anyone can join.
The goal of the series is to learn how to master vintage cars on iconic tracks. The experienced members are invited to support the series and its drivers.
Questions can be asked in this Discord channel: #thr-acadamy In this channel we also provide setups and discuss about what you want to learn. This can be advise from experienced drivers, sharing driving techniques, best practices, practice methods, reference material, etc.
Both the Academy and the series are new. And that's why we're taking the opportunity to try out something completely new for THR:
In the last few days I have registered our THR community at simracing.gp
The look and feel is unfortunately not yet adapted to THR, but I have already submitted our graphics. I also created the first races of the THR Academy Series.
The registration is done via your Steam account and you will be asked for the following Discord password: THRgoesSimracingGP
After the registration you can book your slot for each race, by selecting the car and skin. (unfortunately simracing.gp does not offer custom skins at them moment)
The event format is: 10 min Practice 20 min Qualifying 30 min Race
If you like to practice the car/track combination before, you can use our server THR |3|. To join you need this password: THR_Academy
The THR Academy is under construction. It is possible that not everything will run smoothly at the beginning, but we will develop.
I wish us all a lot of fun and success. THR pitman

Fantastic battle, Alex

Damn, that was intense. Thank you @gilvil77 and @Andi Stangl / AnSeb for my upcoming nightmares of being pursued by a pair of Alfa Romeos eternally.
ValentinK
Intense race indeed and so professional and close! Thanks @gilvil77 and @ValentinK

4 of the top Qualifiers where not able to participate in the championship race on Sunday. Maddie drove to a phenomenal victory with gilvil77 and Phil on P2 and P3.
Congrats Maddie and Gilvil. I never thought to drive on this track for 1 hour without repairs.
Phil Noobson
I am still disappointed with my race last night.

Final standings (Verification by Race Control is still pending.)
After winning at Zandvoort last season, Pitman was able to win the race in the dunes again. Maddie get caught in an accident 6 minutes before the end and pitman took advantage from this.
I am glad that I was able to win Zandvoort, cause as a child I was so often on that lovely track in the dunes Whenever we drive there, the memories come back. It is like a Home Grand Prix for me.

I finished the race in 4th position. Hopefully i will have more luck and skill in the next race at Bremgarten
Flashor
at the end I manage to reach the third position which considering all the difficulties I faced I can consider myself very satisfied!
Simone Porcu
It still was a fun race, thx guys!
Mika Hakala
that bump sucks
Simon Meisinger
To have your race ruined like that so near to the end is the most frustrating feeling.
Maddie Shepherd

When we planned our fifth THR GPL Championship, we scheduled 7 out of 9 tracks.
For the remaining two tracks we came up with something new, because these were to be chosen by our members.
The racers could choose track number 1 out of 6 tracks.
The second track was chosen by our THR Patreons from a total of 14 tracks.
Today I declared our track poll for our fifth GPL Championship closed.
Here are the number of votes per track:
Betonschleife = 2
Feldbergring = 13
Hockenheim = 1
Monaco = 18
Mosport = 1
Rouen = 16
I'm honestly surprised it turned out to be Monaco! I hope the Monegasques aren't as surprised as I am and prepare their city for a great race.
Our THR Patreons, which could choose from 14 different tracks, have also finalized their choices for the second remaining open track in the GPL Championship.
Betonschleife = 0
Bridgehampton = 0
Feldbergring = 3
Fuji = 6
Hockenheim = 2
Interlagos Oval = 0
Monaco = 1
Mosport = 3
Nordschleife = 5
Österreichring = 2
Rouen = 2
Silverstone = 2
Südschleife = 0
Thomson Road = 2
It was close between Nordschleife and Fuji, but Fuji won the poll!
Congratulation to our Japanese friends which will host a fantastic Grand Prix!
And many thanks to all of you for your participation!
